R3303-HP HSR6800 Routers Layer 2 - WAN Command Reference
121
chassis chassis-number slot slot-number: Specifies a card on an IRF member device. The chassis-number
argument represents the IRF member ID, and the slot-number argument represents the slot number of the
card. (In IRF mode.)
Usage guidelines
After a card is specified to handle traffic for an HDLC link bundle interface, all traffic that arrives at the
bundle interface will be processed or forwarded by the card regardless of whether the receiving
interface is located on the card or not. If the card specified by this command is removed, traffic
forwarding failure results for the HDLC link bundle interface. After the card is re-installed, traffic
forwarding is restored.
You can use this function to achieve the following purposes:
• Alleviate the processing pressure on a card and make efficient use of processing capabilities of
service cards.
• Avoid the change of processing card caused by the selected state changes of member interfaces
that are located on different cards.
Examples
# Specify the card in slot 2 to process or forward traffic for interface HDLC-bundle 1.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface hdlc-bundle 1
[Sysname-Hdlc-bundle1] service slot 2

Usage guidelines
Enabling/disabling an HDLC link bundle interface does not enable or disable any member interface in
the HDLC link bundle, but the operation can affect the selected state of the member interfaces. When an
HDLC link bundle interface is disabled, no member interface can be in the selected state to forward
traffic.
Examples
# Shut down HDLC link bundle interface 1.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface hdlc-bundle 1
