Usage guidelines
When the modem is in auto-answer mode (the AA LED of the modem lights up), use the modem
auto-answer command to prevent the device from issuing answer instructions. If the modem is in
non-auto answer mode, use the undo modem auto-answer command to enable the device to issue
answer instructions on the arrival of incoming calls.
Make sure you set the same answer mode as on the modem. If a different answer mode is set, the modem
might operate incorrectly. Do not perform the operation unless absolutely needed.
Examples
# Configure the modem connected to the asynchronous serial interface user-interface 1 to operate in
auto-answer mode.

modem timer answer
Use modem timer answer to set the maximum interval allowed between off-hook and dialing.
Use undo modem timer answer to restore the default.

The interval is 60 seconds.

time: Specifies the timeout time in the range of 0 to 65535 seconds.
