ppp timer negotiate
Use ppp timer negotiate to set the PPP negotiation timeout time.
Use undo ppp timer negotiate to restore the default.
Syntax
ppp timer negotiate seconds
undo ppp timer negotiate
Default
The PPP negotiation timeout time is three seconds.

Parameters
seconds: Negotiation timeout time to be set, in the range of 1 to 10 seconds. In PPP negotiation, if the
local device receives no response from the peer during this period after it sends a packet, the local device
sends the last packet again.
Examples
# Set the PPP negotiation timeout time to 5 seconds.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface serial 2/0/1
[Sysname-Serial2/0/1] ppp timer negotiate 5
ppp user bind enable
Use ppp user bind enable to enable PPP user binding.
Use undo ppp user bind enable to restore the default.
