Parameters
filename: File name. For information about defining the file name, see Fundamentals Configuration
Guide.
Usage guidelines
If the specified file does not exist, the device automatically creates the file when it stores the first DHCP
snooping entry.
This command enables the device to store DHCP snooping entries in the specified file immediately. After
that, the device updates DHCP snooping entries at the interval set by the dhcp-snooping binding
database update interval command.
If you include a subdirectory in the specified file name, make sure the subdirectory is available on each
MPU. Otherwise, the system fails to create the file on an MPU without the specified subdirectory. To solve
this problem, cancel the current configuration, create the subdirectory on the target CPU, and use this
command to specify the file name again.
Examples
# Specify the file database.dhcp to store DHCP snooping entries.
