Upgrading from the BootWare menu
You can use the following methods to upgrade software from the BootWare menu:
 Using TFTP/FTP to upgrade software through an Ethernet port
 Using XMODEM to upgrade software through the console port
TIP:
Upgrading through an Ethernet port is faster than through the console port.
Accessing the BootWare menu
1. Power on the router (for example, an HSR6804 router), and you can see the following information:
System is starting...
Press Ctrl+D to access BASIC-BOOTWARE MENU
Press Ctrl+T to start memory test
Booting Normal Extend BootWare........
The Extend BootWare is self-decompressing......................Done!
