WORKAROUND: Use the “Advanced Configuration” rather than the “Guided

Installation” when installing or re-installing HP-UX 11i v3 on a system that has

HyperFabric cards installed on it.

• When the system is upgraded to HP-UX 11i v3 from a prior OS version, if there are HF1

cards (A4919A, A6092A) installed on the system, they will not be detected by the

HyperFabric software, as these are not supported on HP-UX 11i v3. HP recommends that

you use the HF2 cards instead.

• Some of the directory structures of Hyperfabric software remains on the system even after

removing the Hyperfabric software (for example, /opt/clic).
