The users will see an index of the share (if the browseable property of the share is set to true), and
can open and save files. For more information about accessing shares and uploading files, see
Accessing shares” (page 113).
Managing the HTTP configuration
Select File Shares > HTTP from the Navigator to display the current HTTP configuration. The HTTP
Config Profiles panel lists the profiles that have been created. The Vhosts panel shows the virtual
hosts associated with the selected profile.
Use the buttons on the panels to modify or delete the selected configuration profile or virtual host.
To view HTTP shares on the GUI, select the appropriate profile on the HTTP Config Profiles top
panel, and then select the appropriate virtual host from the lower navigator. The Shares bottom
panel shows the shares configured on that virtual host. Click Add Share to add another share to
the virtual host. For example, you could create multiple shares having the same physical path, but
with different sets of properties, and then assign users to the appropriate share.
Tuning the socket read block size and file write block size
By default, the socket read block size and file write block size used by Apache are set to 8192
bytes. If necessary, you can adjust the values with the ibrix_httpconfig command. The values
must be between 8KB and 2GB.
