If the license file is installed prior to adding devices, licenses are assigned automatically with
the addition of devices. If devices are added to IPSC before the license file is installed, you
must manually assign licenses to the devices.
SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
Before opening a support case for any licensing issue, please review these requirements.
1. IPSC requires the proper startup of these 3 services.
Flexera Licensing Service
HP Print License Service
HP Imaging & Printing Security Center Service
If these services require manual starting, use the order above.
2. The HP Print License Service requires TCP port 8888. This port must be dedicated to the
HP Print License Service.
3. The license file is issued for the IPSC server MAC address. The HP Print License Service
will not operate if the MAC address of the server or PC does not match the license file
MAC address. If using VMWare, make sure the appropriate virtual adapter MAC
address is used. VMWare recommends a static MAC assignment to accomodate
software licensing scenarios.
