Destination Host IP—Enter the IP address of the destination host and click Add. The IP
address is added to the Host List area.
Host List—Displays the hosts on which the APM agent is remotely installed. To remove an
IP address from the Host List area, select the IP address and click Delete.
Host Type—Select a host type, Windows or Linux.
Installation Path—Enter the absolute agent installation path.
Username/Password—Enter the username and the password used for connecting to the
destination host.
For Windows, the username must have the administrator rights.
For Linux, the username must have the root rights and the rights to execute the
installation file.
Description—Enter a description of the installation task.
NOTE:
After selecting a host type, you can click Select Template to select an installation
template to complete other basic host configurations. For more information about
configuring a template, see APM Help.
6. Click Install.
Installing an APM agent locally
You can install an APM agent on Windows or Linux.
Installing an APM agent locally on Windows
1. Log in to IMC.
2. Click the Resource tab.
3. From the navigation tree, select Application Manager > Agent Management.
4. Click Download and select Agent Package (Windows), as shown in Figure 2.
The installation package is downloaded to the local directory.
