Installing and removing an APM agent

An APM agent can be installed remotely and locally.

 Remote installation—APM sends the agent installation package to hosts. The APM agent is

installed automatically on the hosts.

 Local installation—Perform the following tasks:

a. Download the agent installation package to the local directory.

b. Copy the installation package to the target host by using FTP, file sharing, or SCP.

c. Manually install the APM agent on the target host.

Installing an APM agent remotely

1. Log in to IMC.

2. Click the Resource tab.

3. From the navigation tree, select Application Manager > Agent Management.

4. Click Install.

5. Configure the following parameters, as shown in Figure 1:
