3. To select servers in a DC:
a. In the DC List, click the Select Servers icon in the Operations column for the DC.
b. Use the query function to filter servers.
c. Select servers, and then click OK.
The system will add the selected servers' VLANs automatically to the extended VLAN list
of the EVI service.
d. To remove the selected servers, click the Remove Servers icon in the Operations column
for the DC.
Configuring edge devices
To configure an edge device:
1. Add edge devices:
a. In the Edge Device List area, click Add.
b. Select devices, and then click OK.
If all edge devices in the DCs have been added into the Edge Device List, the device
selection pane is empty.
2. To remove edge devices:
a. Select devices in the Edge Device List, and then click Delete.
b. Click OK.
3. Configure a tunnel source IP address for each edge device:
a. In the Edge Device List, click the Set Tunnel Source IP icon for each device.
b. Enter the source IP address or interface name for the tunnel that conveys the EVI network.
VFM displays available IP addresses or interfaces automatically when you enter an IP
address or interface name string. EVI uses the specified address or the primary IP address
of the specified source interface as the source IP address of tunneled packets on the
transport network.
c. Click OK.
4. Specify an ENDP role for each EVI service:
a. Select one or two devices from the Edge Device List.
An EVI network can have up to two ENDSs. The operation will fail if you specify more
than two ENDSs.
b. Click Set as ENDS to specify the devices as ENDSs.
c. Select the remaining devices, and click Set as ENDC.
Configuring EVI service settings
In the EVI Service Settings area, specify the following parameters:
EVI Service Name—Enter a unique name for the EVI service.
Network ID—Enter a unique EVI network ID.
Extended VLANs—Enter a comma-separated list of VLAN items. One item is a VLAN ID or a
hyphenated VLAN ID range. Value range for VLAN IDs is 1 to 4094. For example,
1-10,50-100,500-4094.
Audit Interval (Hours)—Enter the interval for VFM to test EVI link connectivity automatically
over the transport network.
Description—Enter an EVI service description for management purposes.
