HP Intelligent Management Center v7.0 VAN Fabric Manager Administrator Guide

1. In the FCoE switch list, click the Details icon of the target FCoE switch.
Basic information
Basic information on the top of the page includes the following:
Status—FCoE switch-related alarm states in the IMC Platform.
Name—Device label for the FCoE switch in the IMC Platform.
IP Address—IP address that the FCoE switch used when it was added into the IMC Platform.
Device Model—Model of the FCoE switch.
WWN—WWN of the FCoE switch. The WWN is initialized by the manufacture.
CEE interfaces
The Converged Enhanced Ethernet (CEE) is enhancement and expansion of traditional Ethernet
local area networks using in data centers. CEE interfaces are Ethernet interfaces withconfigured
DCBX parameters that are connected to servers.
You can do the following operations for CEE interfaces in VFM:
Viewing CEE interfaces
Querying CEE interfaces
Enabling or disabling CEE interfaces
Viewing and comparing the interface DCBX parameters on a CEE interface and in VFM
Deploying DCBX parameters to CEE interfaces
Undeploying DCBX parameters from CEE interfaces
VFC interfaces
VFC interfaces are logical interfaces created on FCoE switches. A VFC interface can connect
to servers or storage devices or to a VFC interface on another FCoE switch.
You can do the following operations for VFC interfaces in VFM:
Viewing VFC interfaces
Querying VFC interfaces
Viewing VFC interface details
Adding a VFC interface
Deleting VFC interfaces
Enabling or disabling VFC interfaces
Modifying a VFC interface
Configuring the administrative status and mode of VFC interfaces in batches
Managing VSANs of a VFC interface
2. Click Back to return to the FCoE switch list.
Importing FCoE switches
When you import an FCoE switch to a fabric, the servers and storage devices that have registered
with the FCoE switch are also imported to the fabric.
To import FCoE switches:
1. In the FCoE switch list, click Import.
2. Click Select Devices.
3. From the Select Devices window, filter the switches by view or advanced query.
