6. The Interface Details page appears. For more information, see HP IMC Base Platform
Administrator Guide.
Enabling/disabling SPBM on interfaces
CAUTION: Be careful when you disable SPBM on an interface. The action can interrupt SPB
services on the interface.
You must enable SPBM on the provider network ports on all BEBs and BCBs. Provider network
ports include the following:
Ports between a BEB and BCB.
Ports between BCBs.
Enabling or disabling SPBM on an interface
To enable or disable the SPBM on an interface:
1. From the navigation tree, select Service > VAN Fabric Manager > LAN Configuration > SPB.
2. Click the Device Management tab.
3. Click the Operation icon in the Operation column.
4. Select Interface List.
5. In the interface list, click Enable or Disable for the interface in the Operation column.
Enabling or disabling SPBM on multiple interfaces
To enable or disable SPBM on multiple interfaces:
1. From the navigation tree, select Service > VAN Fabric Manager > LAN Configuration > SPB.
2. Click the Device Management tab.
3. Click the Operation icon in the Operation column.
4. Select Interface List.
5. Select interfaces from the interface list.
6. Click Enable or Disable on the toolbar.
Creating a B-VLAN plan
You can create a B-VLAN plan to manage and deploy B-VLAN to ECT algorithm index mappings
on the SPB network.
An ECT algorithm represents a set of tie-breakers for calculating SPTs.
To improve link efficiency in an SPB network, you can distribute B-VLAN traffic along different
paths by mapping B-VLANs into different ECT algorithms.
To ensure correct SPT calculation for B-VLANs, the B-VLAN to ECT algorithm mappings must be
the same across the SPB network.
