HP Insight Control Server Provisioning 7.3 Update 1 Administrator Guide

Initially, a rotating in-progress icon is displayed, eventually followed by a progress bar. As web
applications for the appliance become active, a progress bar advances. On completion, the login
screen displays.
Oops
The appliance encountered a serious error and could not recover from it.
Restarting the appliance might resolve the error.
The error message might advise you to contact your authorized support representative.
Restoring
The appliance is currently being restored from a backup file.
The appliance is not operational during the restore operation.
IMPORTANT: Do not cancel the restore operation.
Restoring an appliance from a backup file replaces all management data and most configuration
settings on the appliance.
When the restoration is complete, you (as Infrastructure administrator) must manually resolve any
remaining inconsistencies, which are identified by alerts.
Updating the appliance
An appliance update is in progress.
The appliance will restart after it is updated. This restart will not disrupt the operation of the systems
under management, but it will close the management console.
Unable to restore from backup
The appliance could not be restored from the backup file.
You will need to:
Create a new appliance from a virtual machine image provided by HP.
See the Insight Control server provisioning Installation guide at http://www.hp.com/go/
insightcontrol/docs
Configure the network settings.
Restore the appliance from an earlier backup file.
IMPORTANT: The new appliance and the backup file must have exactly the same firmware
version.
