Removing and Replacing the Server Blade from the Enclosure

Replacing the Server Blade into the Enclosure

Use the following procedure to replace the server blade into the enclosure:

NOTE Server blades are set to power on automatically upon insertion. If you changed this setting, use

the power button or iLO Virtual Power Button feature to power up the server blade.

Step 1. Slide the server blade back into the enclosure (1). Refer to Figure 4-7.

Step 2. Close the lever (2).

Step 3. Power on the server blade (depending on the system power restore settings, the server blade may

power to standby mode, or immediately start booting. Refer to “Power States” on page 34 for more

information).
