Adding a Hot-Plug SCSI Hard Disk Drive

CAUTION Always populate hard drive bays with either a hot-plug SCSI hard drive or a hard
drive blank. Operating the server blade without a hot-plug SCSI hard drive or hard
drive blank results in improper airflow and improper cooling that can lead to
thermal damage to the server blade.
Install a hot-plug SCSI hard drive by performing the following steps:
Step 1. Slide the drive into the cage until it is fully seated. See Figure 3-2.
Step 2. Close the lever to lock the drive into place.
