CAUTION Use care when handling the processor and power pod assembly when removing or
installing. Support the assembly on both sides when picking it up, or the connector
may break, and the processor will not work.
To install a processor, perform the following steps:
Step 1. Remove the airflow guide by pulling it straight up. See Figure 3-4.

Step 2. Remove the plastic air deflector (for the empty CPU 1 socket) on the airflow guide by pulling it off of
the airflow guide. See Figure 3-5. Save this piece in case you ever revert the server blade back to a
one-processor server blade.
