Removing and Replacing DIMMs
The following procedures show how to remove and replace memory DIMMs in the server blade.
Removing a DIMM
Step 1. Power down the server blade and remove it from the server blade enclosure. Refer to “Preparing the
Server Blade for Servicing” on page 44.
Step 2. Remove the access panel. Refer to “Removing the Server Blade Access Panel” on page 47.
NOTE The server blade ships with at least two DIMMs installed in slots 0A and 0B.
Step 3. Locate the DIMM slots on the server blade system board. Refer to Figure 4-16.
