Step 14. Install the new server blade into the enclosure. “Replacing the Server Blade into the Enclosure” on
page 46.
Step 15. The server blade should be set to automatically power on. If not, see “Power On the Server” on
page 37.
Step 16. Start a console session to configure the server blade. See Appendix D, “Console Setup and
Connection,” on page 157.
Make sure you are logged on to the iLO MP, and have entered the CO (Console) command.
Step 17. During the EFI boot process, the server blade pauses, and prompts you whether you want to enter
the UUID, product number, and system serial number:
EFI version 1.10 [14.62]
EFI64 Running on Intel(R) Itanium Processor Family
EFI 1.10 IPF server BL60p 5.41 [Thu Nov 10 15:08:03 2005] firmware by HP
System IDs (including UUID) are undefined (MAGIC).
Licenses will be invalid until UUID is set.
Do you want to set the system IDs (can be set at the shell using: sysset)?
(y/[n])
•Enter Y if you want to enter the UUID, product number, and system serial number now.
The server prompts you to enter the UUID, product number, and system serial number. The
server blade boots to the OS and you are done.
•Enter N if you want to enter the UUID, product number, and system serial number later (at
the EFI shell). The server resumes the boot process. Proceed with step 18.
or
•Enter N if you previously did an NVRAM backup when you initially installed your server
blade.
Run the NVRAM restore utility to restore your UUID, product number, and EFI settings. When
prompted by the server, enter the system serial number you wrote down in step 9. The server
blade boots to the OS and you are done.
Step 18. During the boot process, a warning displays stating you need to enter the UUID, product number,
and system serial number:
This boot experienced the following problems:
WARNING[55]: Invalid or inaccessible system ID(s)
Address the warning issues as soon as possible.
Redisplay list with 'info warning' at EFI shell.
