Booting the Server
To boot the server, press the power switch located on the front panel.
If the autoboot function is enabled, the system will boot to the installed operating system. If
autoboot is not enabled, the system will enter the EFI boot manager. The EFI boot manager allows
you to control the server’s booting environment. For more information about the EFI boot
manager, review “Utilities” (page 73).
Fibre Channel (FC) Boot Configuration
The following procedure describes how to restore a Fibre Channel (FC) disk to the boot
environment.
NOTE: You must be able to navigate in the EFI Shell environment to perform the following
procedure.
The screen output shown in this procedure and the bold type that is selected in each of the steps
is from a hypothetical test setup; only your screen output shows the actual configuration of your
server.
1. Find the driver number for the FC disks. At the EFI Shell, enter the following command to
display all devices and their associated drivers:

2. Determine the controller handle associated with each of the two listed drivers (23 and 2A).
Enter the following command:
