HP Server Slide Mount Kit for NEBS 2000 Rack – Installation Instructions

Installation Procedure

Chapter 1

Step 6. Tighten the rear screws (loosened in step 4) on the outer slide rails.

Step 7. Install the rack mount retainer bars on the inner side of each column, above the slides as shown in

Figure 1-3. Secure each retainer bar with one T25 screw, using the top threaded hole in the retainer

bar.

Step 8. Install the rear chassis rack mount brackets on the outer side of each rear column, aligned with the

retainer bars as shown in Figure 1-3. Secure each rear rack mount bracket to the retainer bar with

two T25 screws.

Step 9. Insert the chassis-mounted slides into the rack-mounted slides and push the chassis fully into the

rack. Press the blue tabs on the slides to release slide locks and allow insertion.

Step 10. Secure the chassis to the front of the rack with T25 screws. (The screws thread into the front

retainer bars installed in step 7.)

Step 11. Secure the rear chassis cable routing brackets on the chassis to the rear chassis rack mount

brackets on the rear columns with two T25 screws.

Step 12. Secure the cable management strain relief bar to the rear rack brackets on the chassis with two

T25 screws.
