SETMODE Operations
111 = enable/disable internal diagnostics (SI/D).
parameter-1 = 0 disable SI/D (default)
1 enable SI/D (option 1)
2 enable SI/D (option 2)
NOTE
The SI/D options can leave the model 5530 in an undesirable
state. Do not use them with this printer.
142 = select character set. |

1 select IBM PC character set |

parameter-2 is not used. |

For 5512, 5515/5516, and 5573 printers, the I/O process |
sends the following ESC sequences to select the character |
set: |

ESC(0@ selects the default character set |
|
ESC(10U selects the IBM PC character set |
|
|

NOTE |
|
These printers do not come equipped with the IBM PC |
character set; it can be installed later. To use this |
operation, the printer must have the IBM PC character set |
installed on the printer. If the printer does not have |
the IBM PC character set installed, the printer ignores the |
SETMODE 142. |
