BackPak H4.00 Catalog Sync Option

Initial setup
27 BackPak H4.00 Catalog Sync Option
Volcat : Obviously, the DSM/TC VOLCAT and FILECAT catalogues cannot be
duplicated on themselves; therefore their names qualified by the node name must be
different in the secondary data store.
But when primary and secondary systems are not linked by Expand and both systems
share the same node name, the qualified catalog names can be identical, a check box
must be un-check in the Catalog Sync Import configuration page to allow the same
name.
Pool: Their name can be equal as well as different.
File catalog: This is element is available only for SECONDARY Data Stores. The
DSM/TC file catalogue not only the volume catalogue, must be entered to specify
where the duplicated DSM/TC TAPEFILE and DISKFILE must be written. This must be
entered whether the FILECAT and VOLCAT are in the same SQL sub-volume or not.
Key Manager configuration
Each of the encrypted volumes imported in the BackPak catalog refers to the BackPak Key
Manager ID of the server that contains the encryption key for the volume.
This BackPak Key Manager ID must be configured in the domain containing the secondary
data store.
It is also a god idea to name this Key Manager ID in the configuration of the Volume groups
of the secondary Data Store.
See Considerations for encrypted volumes earlier in this manual.
