Technical interface to EMS messages
All messages are identified to EMS with these attributes:
− Subsystem owner = ETINET
− Subsystem number = 100
− Subsystem version = 100
− Message number = as documented in the column ‘Number’ of the table of
messages building this document.
There is no EMS token beyond the identification of messages.
The BackPak distribution set contains a filter for the HP EMS distributor filter to
extract all tape related messages, form HP tape subsystems and form ETI-NET
BackPak. This filter is used in two obey files:
OEMS extraction of tape related messages to a disk file
OEMS2 extraction of tape related messages to the home terminal
of a TACL session
