• BladeSystem ServerNet switches or NonStop NS16000 series processor switches that meet the hardware requirements
for BladeCluster connectivity can remain connected to the 6700 series ServerNet cluster. For more information about
hardware requirements, refer to “Hardware Overview” (page 18).
• Do not prepare the ServerNet switches or processor switches for connectivity to the BladeCluster topology via the
OSM Service Connection until instructed to do so by this manual or the Add Node to ServerNet Cluster guided
procedure.

If you have not already done so, complete Task 1
for each BladeSystem and NonStop NS16000 series
node that is being migrated to a BladeCluster
Solution topology.
Notify end users before terminating applications.On each node that is being migrated from a 6700
series ServerNet Cluster to a BladeCluster Solution
topology: stop all applications that use
Expand-over-ServerNet lines to communicate with
other nodes.
On all other nodes connected to the 6700 series
ServerNet Cluster: Stop all applications that use
Expand-over-ServerNet lines to communicate with
the node that is being migrated to a BladeCluster
Solution topology.
SCF ABORT LINE $SC*Stop all Expand-over-ServerNet lines on every node
that is being migrated from a 6700 series ServerNet
Cluster to a BladeCluster Solution topology.

delete it from the configuration record.
CAUTION: Service providers, DO NOT connect any
fiber-optic cables to the BladeCluster hardware until the OSM
guided procedure prompts you to do so during Task 4:
Connect the Node to the Advanced Cluster Hubs (ACHs) and
Verify the Automatic Line-Handler Configuration (page 32).
Remove the node from the previous topology by
disconnecting the node that is being migrated from
both ServerNet fabrics of the 6700 series ServerNet
Clusters.
SCF STATUS PROCESS $ZZKRN.#ZZSCLCheck if the $ZZSCL (SNETMON) process is running
in each node is being migrated from a 6700 series
ServerNet Cluster to a BladeCluster Solution
