After connecting the cables, wait for the node to appear under the BladeCluster object in the OSM
Service Connection. If it does not appear within 60 seconds, click Continue to see the alarms.
Click Continue in the Add Node to ServerNet Cluster guided procedure.
ServerNet Node Restrictions in a Multi-Zone Blade Cluster
A multi-zone BladeCluster supports ServerNet node numbers 1 through 24. However, ServerNet
node-number assignments are restricted for NonStop NS16000 Series systems in a BladeCluster:
To participate in a multi-zone BladeCluster, the first node position (known as the anchor node)
in each zone must be assigned to a NonStop Blade System. Depending on the zone, the
anchor node is either ServerNet node 1, 9, or 17.
If the BladeCluster zone contains more than 5 nodes that are a mix of NS16000 Series systems
and NonStop BladeSystems, the NonStop NS16000 Series systems are limited to these node
positions:
Zone 1: ServerNet nodes 2 through 5
Zone 2: ServerNet nodes 10 through 13
Zone 3: ServerNet nodes 18 through 21
NOTE: There are no ServerNet node number restrictions on NonStop BladeSystems. They can
be assigned any ServerNet node number from 1 through 24.
