Viewing and Configuring Comm Server Mappings
The Comm Server is a router that allows remote clients to communicate with application servers on a host system. The Comm Server Map
shows the associations between remote client host systems and Comm Servers.
The Location Service Daemon (LSD) uses the Comm Server Map to route incoming requests from remote clients. The LSD looks up the remote
client's host system in the Comm Server Map. If the remote client's host system has an entry in the Comm Server Map, the LSD returns the
address information for that Comm Server. If there is no Comm Server Map entry, the LSD creates one and adds it to the Comm Server Map.
You can add and remove Comm Server mappings to balance the load of client requests among Comm Servers.
