I. Basic Product Installation Instructions
1. Ensure that the requirements for using this product are met
(see Section IV Product Requirements below).
It is critically important that you ensure that you have the
prerequisite software.
2. Verify that prerequisites for the installation utility and any
product-specific installation requirements are met
(see Section V Installation Prerequisites below).
3. Install the NonStop CORBA 2.6.1 documentation
(on workstation).
Execute the file CD_DOCS\CORBADOC.EXE on your CD by double
clicking on it in Windows Explorer. You will be prompted for
a directory where you want to place the files. To view the
documentation, open the home.htm file in a Web browser by double
clicking on it in Windows Explorer.
4. Install the NonStop Distributed Component Console
(on workstation).
Execute the file WS_SW\NSDCONSOLE.EXE on your CD by double
clicking on it in Windows Explorer. You will be prompted for
a directory where you want to place the files. The default
directory is "C:\NSDConsole". If you want to enter a different
directory name, do so and continue. You will end up with the
following directory structure (<nsdconsole-dir> is the directory
in which you installed the console):
<nsdconsole-dir>
+--jre
+--lib
5. Review the file USRGUIDE.PDF (in the subdirectory NSK_SW on this
CD) containing the IPSetup User Guide, which provides instructions
for using IPSetup, a utility provided on the CD that enables
installation of Independent Products. You will need Adobe Acrobat
Reader to read or print the IPSetup User Guide. Visit Adobe's
website to download the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader:

6. Use one of the following methods to move/copy files to the
Installation Subvolumes: (A) IPSetup only, or (B) IPSetup in
conjunction with DSM/SCM.
