Theory of Operation
♦ Use the Integration Flow Designer to design systems of maps to model your
data transformation business processes.
♦ Use the Map Designer to develop these maps.
! The Map Designer uses the Command Server to run maps.
♦ Use the Type Designer to define your source and target data structures.
♦ Use the Database Interface Designer to import metadata and identify
characteristics of those objects to meet mapping and execution requirements
such as update keys and database triggers.
♦ Finally, use the Integration Flow Designer to create your system definition,
map overrides, and server deployment
