Sequencing Message Flow Between Applications
Messages can flow from between applications through maps. In the illustration below the numbers refer
to the order of the messaging in the overall sequence.
Integration with Non-MessageQ Environments
Other adapters (for example, database adapters) can be used to allow integration with other
environments. This is of particular interest with interfacing with external messaging environments, for
example, EDI.
Using Messaging Adapter Commands
Messaging adapter commands can be specified as the data source of an input map card, or as the data
target for an output map card, or both. Each adapter comes with a set of adapter commands that
customize its operation. Resource adapter commands can be used:
as a default resource in the Map Designer
from the Execution Settings defined in the Integration Flow Designer
in a map rule, when using the RUN function
on a command line for a Command Server or API
