Setting the System Defaults
To set the system defaults:
MC>alter mediadefs, filecat default_catalog,volcat
default_catalog, pool backup_open, abendretention 0
1 system defaults altered.
Use INFO MEDIADEFS to verify all of the default
s set in the previous command:
MC>info mediadefs

File Catalog \STORM.DEFAULT_CATALOG

Creating the Default Catalogs
Use the CREATE FILECAT and CREATE VOLCAT commands to create the default
catalogs. Verify settings with the INFO FILECAT and INFO VOLCAT commands:
MC>create filecat default_catalog, subvol $data1.default,
secure "nnnn"
1 file catalog created.
MC>create volcat default_catalog,subvol $data1.default,
secure "nnnn"
1 volume catalog created.
MC>info filecat *
