OSM and the H06.03 RVU
OSM has been enhanced to support the HP Integrity NonStop NS-series servers. The
OSM Low-Level Link allows you to support both G-series and H-series at the same
time. The OSM LLL provides support using the Maintenance Entity (ME) firmware
running on the ServerNet switch board of P-switches and IOAMs.
Only OSM supports H-series RVUs. As of H06.03, these objects are monitored by
OSM processor switch. Each processor switch has these subcomponents:
One maintenance PIC
One PIC for HP NonStop ServerNet Cluster for connectivity
One crosslink PIC for connecting to the processor switch on the other fabric
Four PICs (for processor connectivity)
Six PICs for connecting to IOAMs or IOMF2s.
OSM provides a guided procedure for replacing a processor switch and its
components.
Disk drive enclosures, each containing:
°
Up to 14 disk drives
°
Two FC-AL I/O modules
°
Two power supplies
°
Two fans
°
One environmental monitoring unit (EMU)
Power fail
Processor complex (blade complex) view
HP NonStop S-series IOMF2 cabinets and components attached to processor
switch
OSM supports these firmware updates:
The processor switch
Gigabit 4-port ServerNet adapter (G4SA)
Fibre Channel ServerNet adapter (FCSA)
SWAN and SWAN 2 concentrators
Disk drive enclosure replacement procedures
Processor complex (NonStop Blade Complex) firmware updates
