Tandem 65xx terminals can be connected through a Tandem 6600 Intelligent Cluster
Controller to a NonStop system running SNAX/XF. The 6600 Intelligent Cluster
Controller performs asynchronous-to-SNA conversions. This enables IBM 3270 and
Tandem 65xx devices to share a multidrop line.
Multiple Service Managers
SNAX/XF subsystems consist of line-handler processes (handling data transfer to and
from the lines) managed by service manager processes. SNAX/XF supports multiple
service managers within a single Tandem system. You can therefore partition your
network of SNA devices across several service managers, ensuring availability of most
