fault tolerance
The ability of a computer system to continue processing during and after a single fault (the failure of a system
component) without the loss of data or function.

get() method
A method used to read a data item. For example, the SQLMPConnection.getAutoCommit() method returns the
transaction mode of the JDBC driver's connection to an SQL/MP or SQL/MX database. Compare to set()
method.
Guardian
An environment available for interactive and programmatic use with the NonStop operating system. Processes
that run in the Guardian environment use the Guardian system procedure calls as their API. Interactive users of
the Guardian environment use the HP Tandem Advanced Command Language (TACL) or another HP product's
command interpreter. Compare to OSS.
