Entering Configuration Data
Entering Configuration Data
Use the tape library operator panel to enter your configuration data.
Using the Operator Panel
The operator panel function buttons are as follows. For an illustration of the operator
panel, refer to Figure 4-1, Operator Panel Display, Control, and Indicators, on
page 4-2. The buttons used for configuration are:
•
Up arrow - to move the cursor up or scroll up
•
Down arrow - to move the cursor down or scroll down
•
SELECT - to select a menu item
•
MENU:

To initially open the Main Menu screen
°
To return to a previously selected screen
Providing Configuration Information
1. Before starting the configuration procedure, read the explanations in Entering Tape
Drive Information on page 5-9.
2. Determine the choices.
3. Write down your tape library configuration information.
4. Write down your tape drive configuration.
You might need to consult the system administrator for some information.
Caution. Check that the tape library and associated tape drives are offline to the system.
