Enterprise Storage System (ESS) Disks
The Enterprise Storage System (ESS) is any of several models of HP StorageWorks Disk Arrays.
These arrays are a collection of magnetic disks, their controllers, and the disk cache in one or
more standalone cabinets. The disks are configured with an attached console.
ESS disk drives are maintained and serviced only by qualified service providers who have
completed courses in ESS management.
