Default Naming Conventions
can name their resources at will and use the appropriate management applications and
tools to find out where the resource is.
However, default naming conventions for certain resources simplify creation of the
initial configuration files and automatic generation of the names of the modular
resources. When autoconfigure mode is set to on for storage subsystems, the
pre-configured default naming convention is used to generate the names of the Fibre
Channel disks. These pre-configured default resource names are:
On new NonStop systems, only one of each of these processes and names is
configured:
TCP6SAM - $ZTC0
Telserv - $ZTCN0
Listener - $LNS0
No TFTP or WANBOOT process is configured for new NonStop systems.
OSM Service Connection provides the location of the resource by adding an identifying
suffix to the names of all the system resource. Other interfaces, such as SCF, also
provide means to locate named resources.

Note. Naming conventions or configurations for the maintenance LAN TCP/IP are the same as
the TCP/IP conventions used with G06.xx RVUs and are named $ZTCP0 and $ZTCP1.
