Subsystem Control Facility (SCF)
You use the Subsystem Control Facility (SCF) on Integrity NonStop NS-Series systems
to configure, control, and display information about configured objects within each
subsystem. Each subsystem responds to and processes SCF commands that affect
that subsystem. If you are a super-group user, you can use the SCF command-line
user interface to make configuration changes from any connected terminal. When you
install an H-series RVU on an Integrity NonStop NS-series server, the system disk and
a few other initial system-load processes are preconfigured. The CONFTEXT file
establishes some system attributes for all processors. You finish the rest of the system
configuration by using SCF. Using SCF commands, you can:
Add, alter, or delete objects (such as devices, I/O processes, and generic
processes)
Obtain configured or current information about objects
Alter some system variables
