Planning for a Dedicated Maintenance LAN
This configuration can be used in cases where no IOAM enclosure is in a NonStop
NS-series system and only the NonStop S-series I/O enclosure provides the system
I/O connections and mass storage:

Initial Configuration for a Dedicated Maintenance LAN
New systems are shipped with an initial set of IP addresses configured. For listing of
these initial IP addresses, see IP Addresses on page 6-3.
Factory-default IP addresses for the Integrity NonStop NS-series G4SA and the
NonStop S-series E4SA adapters are in the LAN Configuration and Management
Manual. IP addresses for SWAN concentrators are in the WAN Subsystem
Configuration and Management Manual.
HP recommends that you change these preconfigured IP addresses to addresses
appropriate for your LAN environment. You must change the preconfigured IP
addresses on:
A backup system console if you want to connect it to a dedicated maintenance
LAN that already includes a primary system console or other system console
Any system console if you want to connect it to a dedicated maintenance LAN that
already includes a primary system console
The MSP and Ethernet port IP addresses of any NonStop S-series server if you
want to connect it to a LAN that already includes another NonStop S-series server
