Example 16-Processor Triplex System Cabling
Components of the cable management system that are part of each modular enclosure
and the rack are not shown, so actual cable routing using is slightly different from that
shown. For detailed information on cable routing and connection as part of the system
installation, refer to the NonStop NS-Series Hardware Installation Manual.
The next illustration shows the cabinets that house the modular I/O hardware and that
connect to the processor cabinets in the preceding illustration.
This illustration below shows a simplified representation of the X and Y ServerNet
cabling between the IOAM enclosures and the p-switches and the cabling between the
FCSAs and Fibre Channel disk modules. The example Fibre Channel disk module
configuration for the group 110 IOAM is a configuration of four-FCSAs and four Fibre
Channel disk modules shown in Two FCSAs, Two FCDMs, Two IOAM Enclosures on
page 6-26. The example Fibre Channel disk modules for the group 111 IOAMs is a
daisy-chain configuration shown in Daisy-Chain Configurations on page 6-28.
