1 System Hardware Overview
Integrity NonStop NS-series servers use the NonStop advanced architecture (NSAA),
which includes a number of duplex or triplex NonStop Blade Elements plus various
combinations of hardware enclosures. These enclosures are installed in 42U modular
cabinets.
Hardware Enclosures and Configurations
Enclosures that house specific hardware components include:
NonStop Blade Element
Processor switch (not supported on Integrity NonStop NS14000 systems)
Logical synchronization unit (LSU)
I/O adapter module (IOAM)
Fibre Channel disk module
Maintenance switch (Ethernet)
Extended runtime module (ERM)
Uninterruptible power supply (UPS)
Each HP modular cabinet includes two power distribution units (PDUs) and AC power
feed cables factory-installed at either the upper or lower rear corners.
