Modular System Hardware
I/O adapter module
(IOAM) enclosure
Only one IOAM enclosure is supported in an Integrity NonStop
NS14000 server.
The group number for the IOAM enclosure is 100 in an Integrity
NonStop NS14000 system.
The maintenance entity on the ServerNet switch board supports
direct connections to both LSUs and ServerNet I/O adapters.
Up to six ServerNet I/O adapters are supported. Fibre Channel
ServerNet adapters (FCSAs) are used for communicating with
storage devices such as a Fibre Channel disk module (FCDM),
tape devices, or an Enterprise Storage System (ESS) disk.
Gigabit Ethernet 4-port ServerNet adapters (G4SAs) are used for
Ethernet connectivity.
Up to four 4PSEs provide ServerNet connectivity to the LSUs.
Only 4PSEs are supported for installation in slots 2.1, 2.2, 3.1,
and 3.2 of the IOAM enclosure for an Integrity NonStop NS14000
server.
ServerNet cluster switches are connected to the ServerNet switch
board instead of to the p-switch.
In OSM, IOAM power supplies have actions to configure the
power source as AC or UPS for power failure scenarios.
Fibre Channel disk
module (FCDM)
A maximum of 16 Fibre Channel disk module (FCDM)s are supported.
Cables There are no cable connections to p-switches.
Maintenance
switch
There are no connections from the HP ProCurve 2524 maintenance
switch to p-switches.
NonStop S-series
I/O enclosures
NonStop S-series I/O enclosure connections are not supported.
ServerNet Cluster Only 6780 ServerNet cluster switches are supported. For more
