System I/O Hardware Configuration
Because of the large number of possible configurations, you calculate the total power
consumption, heat dissipation, and weight of each modular cabinet based on the
hardware configuration that you order from HP.
For site preparation specifications of the modular cabinet and the individual
enclosures, see Section 3, System Installation Specifications.
For examples of various combinations of enclosures installed in a modular cabinet, see
Section 7, Example Configurations.
System I/O Hardware Configuration
I/O connectivity between Integrity NonStop NS16000 servers and NonStop S-series
server equipment is supported only if the target enclosures do not exist in multiple
systems simultaneously. These enclosures can be mixed within the same Integrity
NonStop NS16000 system for I/O connectivity:
•
IOAM Enclosure
•
NonStop S-Series I/O Enclosure
IOAM Enclosure
The IOAM enclosure is part of the modular Integrity NonStop NS-series hardware and
uses Fibre Channel and gigabit Ethernet adapters for I/O connectivity. An I/O system
that can also include connection to internal or external disks, the IOAM enclosure can
be connected to and provide I/O functions for either Integrity NonStop NS-series or
NonStop S-series servers. For connectivity to NonStop S-series servers, see the
NonStop S-Series Planning and Configuration Guide.
Note. The Integrity NonStop NS14000 system does not support connections to NonStop
S-series I/O enclosures.
Note. The Integrity NonStop NS14000 system does not support connections to NonStop
S-series I/O enclosures.
