Maximum allowable lengths of cables connecting the modular system components are:
Although a considerable distance can exist between the modular enclosures in the
system, HP recommends placing all cabinets adjacent to each other and bolting them
together, with cable length between each of the enclosures as short as possible.
Cable Management System
The cable management system (CMS) for Integrity NonStop NS-series systems
contains cable trays and vertical cable guides and is designed specifically for the
Integrity NonStop NS-series server components to manage all fiber cables, CAT5
cables, and for some components and power cords. Using the CMS maintains the
minimum 25mm bend radius for the fiber cables and provides strain relief for the fiber-
optic cables and the power cords. For details on using the CMS, refer to the NonStop
NS-Series Hardware Installation Manual.
