1 System Hardware Overview
Integrity NonStop NS-series servers use the NonStop advanced architecture (NSAA),
which includes a number of duplex or triplex processor slices plus various
combinations of hardware enclosures. These enclosures are installed in modular
cabinets equipped with 42U-high, 19-inch racks.
Hardware Enclosures and Configurations
Enclosures that house specific hardware components include:

Processor slice
•
Processor switch
•
Logical synchronization unit (LSU)
•
I/O adapter module (IOAM)
•
Disk drive
•
Maintenance switch (Ethernet)
•
Extended runtime module (ERM)
•
Uninterruptible power supply (UPS)
