3 System Installation
Specifications
This section provides these specifications necessary for system installation site
planning:
Processor Type and Memory Size
The processor type is specified in the CONFTEXT configuration file before the system
is shipped from the factory.
Verify the Processor Type
The SYSTEM_PROCESSOR_TYPE for and Integrity NonStop NS1000 system should
be specified as NSE-P in the CONFTEXT configuration file:
Changing the CONFTEXT File
You can modify the CONFTEXT file using DSM/SCM. Any changes to the CONFTEXT
file take effect after the next system load. Refer to the DSM/SCM Users Guide.

Note. All specifications provided in this section assume that each enclosure in the modular
cabinet is fully populated. The maximum current for each AC service depends on the number
and type of enclosures installed in the modular cabinet. Power, weight, and heat loads are less
when enclosures are not fully populated; for example, a blade element with fewer processors
or a Fibre Channel disk module with fewer disks.
