Blade Element Group-Module-Slot Numbering
°
16 through 19 relates to the location of the fans on the blade element.
Example: slot 18 = the fans in slot 18
°
In the OSM Low-Level Link, 1 relates to the location of the processor. Because
each blade element contains only one processor, it is always located in slot 1.
Example: slot 1 = any processor in any blade element.
•
Port: X and Y relate to the two ServerNet fabric ports in slot 2.
Example: Port X = Right port connecting to the ServerNet X fabric when facing the
blade element from the rear.
These tables show the default numbering for the blade elements of an Integrity
NonStop NS1000 system when blade elements are powered on and functioning:
Note. In OSM, if a blade element is not present or is powered off, processors might be
renumbered. For example, if processor 3 has been removed, processor 4 becomes processor
3 in OSM displays.
