Dedicated Service LAN Cables
The Integrity NonStop NS1000 system uses Category 5, unshielded twisted pair
Ethernet cables for the internal dedicated service LAN and for connections between
the G4SA and the application LAN equipment.
Cable Length Restrictions
For a general description about cable length restrictions, refer to the NonStop NS-
Series Planning Guide. Details about cable length restrictions that are specific to an
Integrity NonStop NS1000 server are presented here.
Maximum allowable lengths of cables connecting the modular system components are:
Although a considerable cable length can exist between the modular enclosures in the
system, HP recommends that cable length between each of the enclosures be as short
as possible.
