NonStop S-Series I/O Enclosure Group Numbers
Assignment of the group number of each NonStop S-series I/O enclosure depends on the cable
connection to the p-switch PIC by slot and port. For PIC slot and connector locations, see “Processor
Switch Group-Module-Slot Numbering” (page 26).
The cables from the two IOMF 2 CRUs must connect to PICs residing in the same slot number in
both the X and Y p-switch and to the same port number on each PIC. For example, the preceding
illustration shows the cables from the IOMF 2 CRUS in the NonStop S-series server connected to
port 1 of the PICs in slot 4 of the X and Y p-switch, assigning the group number of 11.
