“Monitoring the CIP Subsystem” (page 94) shows examples of other SCF commands. “Monitoring
CLIM Status” (page 96) shows the use of scripts that run on the CLIM itself to monitor the operation
of a CLIM and its IP protocol behavior. The Cluster I/O Protocols (CIP) Configuration and
Management Manual provides reference details and examples for using the SCF INFO and SCF
STATUS commands to monitor CLIMs.
In OSM, individual CLIM objects are located under a CLIMs container object, which has no attributes
(see Figure 3). If the CLIMs container object shows a bell-shaped alarm icon or a yellow triangular
icon, indicating a problem within, expand the CLIMs container object and select the individual
CLIM object indicating a problem to check it for alarms and/or attributes, such as the Device State
attribute discussed in “CLIM Device States” (page 114). Figure 3 shows the CLIMs container object
expanded to show the CLIM objects in it and the attributes of one CLIM object.
